6 000 euros per academic year
The tuition fee does not apply to persons who are citizens of EU/EEA countries or Switzerland, have a long-term residence permit in Finland for other purposes than studying or have been granted an EU Blue Card in Finland or exchange students. See more detailed information at https://studyinfo.fi/wp2/en/higher-education/tuition-fees/am-i-required-to-pay-tuition-fees/.
The payment for the first year is done when accepting the study place at KAMK. It is not possible to pay in installments. There is an early bird scholarship available for the first year on both Bachelor and Master level.
For the following study years, the tuition fee must be paid in May yearly. The tuition fee must be paid for all the semesters for which the student enrolls as attending, including extension periods. Scholarships are available only for the standard study period. Read more about the terms and regulations: https://www.kamk.fi/en/Applicants/Tuition-Fee-and-Scholarships.
Scholarships in Bachelor’s Degrees
The scholarship applies only to the tuition-fee paying students. It will only be possible to receive the scholarship for the standard study period of 3,5 academic years in the bachelor’s degrees.
The students apply for the scholarship in May yearly. The scholarship will be reduced from the following year’s tuition fee. The scholarships are allocated by application only.
First year Scholarship
An Early Bird -scholarship is available for those who accept the study place offered and pay their tuition fee within two weeks from the notice of admission. The early bird scholarship covers 50% of the tuition fee and is directly used to reduce the tuition fee, ie. the student pays 3 000 euros as the tuition fee for the first study year.
Scholarships after the first year
The scholarship system rewards the students for good progress in the studies. The students will be able to apply for a scholarship that provides a discount of 50 % to the tuition fee from their second year onward, provided that they accomplish a minimum of 55 credits per academic year on Bachelor level.
Scholarship based on Finnish language skills
The Bachelor’s Degree students can apply for a scholarship based on a Finnish language level test completed during the academic year. The accepted test is the National certificate of language proficiency (YKI), intermediate level or higher. In case the student has passed the test earlier, he/she must pass a higher level to be eligible for the scholarship.
The scholarship is worth 3000 euros and it is directly used to reduce the tuition fee. The student can only receive the scholarship based on Finnish language once during his/her studies.
It is possible to receive the scholarship both for the Finnish language and for progress in the studies (completing 55 credits per year) on the same year, i.e. to cover the full tuition fee (6 000 e) with two scholarships.
